Jávea, the Spanish seaside resort on the Costa Blanca

Jávea is a municipality in the Spanish province of Alicante located on the Costa Blanca. The Costa Blanca is known for the cleanest air in Spain and the beautiful coastlines. Jávea is located on the coast exactly between Valencia and Alicante and is surrounded by mountains and lots of greenery. Jávea consists of three parts, the old town (Pueblo), the harbor (Puerto) and Arenal (Playa de Arenal).

Town


In the old town you can still find many remains of the piracy that took place here around the 14th century.

Nowadays you can especially enjoy tasty snacks and drinks in the many restaurants and

cafe´s.

Every Thursday there is a large market in the Old Town where you can find a wide variety of food and drinks.

The harbor consists of two parts.

The marina and fishing port.

Early in the morning the fishing boats arrive here to bring the many freshly caught fish ashore.

Arenal


The most beautiful beach in Jávea is Playa del Arenal. It is a beautiful sandy beach about 500 meters long.

On the beach there are some large palm trees that provide shade and because the water is shallow, it is also an ideal beach for small children. Located on this beautiful beach you will find a beautiful boulevard with many restaurants, shops and night clubs.
